© Del Hunter.com  2010 Tuesday A friend took me to a free lunchtime concert at the Guards Chapel, London, and I was struck by the way  music can rapidly alter our moods. Of course other stimulus such as environment (the Guards Chapel was the scene of a bomb dropping during the blitz, killing over 100 people at pray) can effect our moods.  As a therapist I can rationalise negative thoughts and so modify my mood (using happier thoughts to trigger happier feelings) .  But do I want to Some times negative moods can help strengthen and motivate me.  Allowing me to reflect on the broader issues in life such as, what is important to me, what do I believe and who am I? Monday Watched the Bollywood movie Dhobi Ghat which is one of the movies that entertains, shocks and pleases you.  The visual scene is amazing (you see Mumbai in it’s raw beauty)  but the issues this movie confronts are common to us all; love, jealousy and death. The movie also crosses the common barriers; faith and prosperity.  I wont spoil the movie, but I will say you don’t leave feeling sad, just touched.  Touched by humanity, touched by life and somehow, touched from within. Go see this movie, let me know your thoughts by email or my blog on line !                                            Guard Chapel, London Mumbai, Dhobi Ghat Made with Xara
